Everything to the cloud, or better to keep our own servers?
It depends. Steady, predictable workloads usually work out cheaper on-premise; peaks, test environments and the need to grow fast fit better in the cloud. The usual answer is a hybrid, and that is what we tend to propose.
How long does a migration take?
An SME with 3-5 servers is normally migrated in 4-8 weeks including testing. The real cut-over window is planned for a weekend and rarely runs beyond a few hours.
What happens if something goes wrong during the migration?
Every migration comes with a documented and tested rollback plan. We don’t switch off the source until the destination has been validated.
